Bethesda is a video game publisher that needs no introduction. It has a massive portfolio of some of the most popular games and was acquired by Xbox a while ago. Since then, Bethesda’s games have been somewhat lacking, and we haven’t seen it show itself as part of Xbox.
Though it has many popular games, we didn’t see the company bring a video game under Xbox’s banner that can be considered significant. However, several titles have been in rumors, and many insiders have confirmed the names of at least 4 video games from Bethesda that will come out in 2023.
These include Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall, Starfield, and Ghostwire: Tokyo DE on Xbox. With such a heavy lineup, we can confidently say that 2023 is Bethesda’s first proper year to shine under Xbox. Since some of these have great potential, it might take a while for Bethesda to top this year.

Major Points
- Bethesda could have at least 4 releases this year, not including the expansions.
- These games are all significant, and if Bethesda releases, even 3 of them (including Starfield) this year will be their best.
- There is even a possibility of more releases or announcements from Bethesda, which will further set the tone for upcoming years.
After Xbox’s acquisition of Bethesda in 2020, the latter has yet to make significant releases under its new banner. That should end now, as they have several titles to release and possibly even announce this year. They include Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall, Starfield, and Ghostwire: Tokyo DE on Xbox.
The Twitter post by IdolSloth shows a comment by another notable leaker Klobrille, claiming that Bethesda will have these titles this year. Despite his claim, other notable insiders, and some mishaps from Bethesda have already confirmed these titles, so the only way we don’t see them is if Bethesda decides to delay them for some reason.
Starting off, Hi-Fi Rush is their unannounced upcoming Sci-Fi Shooter game, and the leaked concept art shows great potential for the game. We already discussed the expected release date, which is expected to be in the latter part of 2023. It is also possible that we will only see an announcement since Bethesda is known for its delays as of late.
Secondly, we have Redfall, a first-person shooter video game developed by Arkane Studios. It quickly caught everyone’s attention after the Official Gameplay Reveal at Xbox & Bethesda Showcase in 2022. The game is expected to release in May after being delayed by around 6 weeks.
Ghostwire: Tokyo, a PlayStation 5 Exclusive title, is also confirmed to be in the works for Xbox Series X after Official Art was spotted in Bethesda’s publishing headquarters. So, the game should make its way to Xbox sometime this year. Several other rumors suggest it to be in early 2023 but take it with a grain of salt.
Last but not least, Starfield should also be finally released this year. After getting delayed in 2022, the game is now confirmed to release in the first half of 2023, according to Starfield‘s Official Support Page. After seeing older leaks of RTX integration in Starfield, our team at TopTierList is certainly excited about this game.
That is all for today! What title are you most excited about? Do you think this year will be the best year for Bethesda in a long time? Share your thoughts with us below, and we will get back to you!
