miHoYo has gone full out with its ventures in developing various games. Their pace has increased significantly after the release of Genshin Impact. Since then, they have announced more games and kept adding frequent promised updates to their existing ones. Their portfolio is about to increase yet again, as our team at TopTierList found a LinkedIn Profile of the Quest Designer, Zhi Yang, who is working on an unannounced title by miHoYo.
He has also worked on other notable titles, including Genshin Impact, ZhengTu 2, and FrostRunner. Even though we don’t know anything about what this game might be like, one notable leaker has some speculations on when we might see an announcement.
Since miHoYo already has much on its plate, we can expect it to release after Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail. Nonetheless, once a proper announcement has been made, we can look more into the specifics of the game.

miHoYo has several titles that contribute to its popularity. One is Honkai Impact 3rd, while the more mainstream one is Genshin Impact. The game became popular very quickly after the news spread that miHoYo invested a lot in the game and managed to earn back over 3 times the profit.
They have made some of the most addictive Gacha games and have at least 3 more games in development. It was previously believed to be 2; Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail, but our team managed to find another with the help of Ubatcha.

Ubatcha is a notable leaker and has consistently participated in Beta tests and leaked a considerable portion of content in miHoYo’s games, especially Genshin Impact. Since he knows the testing dates and most inside things, his word is one of the most reliable for this.
In his tweet, he says, “If my assumptions about how Hoyos timelines work is right, this game is likely in early testing stages, so maybe an announcement in the 2nd half of 2023?” and doubled down on it by replying, “I know they’re always working on new games but I’d probably put a bet on the 2nd half of 2023 for a new announcement personally.”
So, the 2nd half of 2023 is probably a reliable bet for us, considering they have already announced their other 2 titles. As for his statement regarding the game being in early testing stages, we can’t be too sure about that, but if it is true, we might see more leaks moving forward. Additionally, the description from Zhi Yang, the Quest Designer in this project, still doesn’t give much information.
It states, “successfully contributed to the open-world ARPG, Genshin Impact; the MMORPG, ZhengTu 2; the first-person speedrunning game, FrostRunner, I’m working in an unannounced title, miHoYo as a Quest Designer to continue my journey of providing exciting experiences for players.”
However, one thing we can rely on is that it will involve quests as a significant part of its gameplay since we did find this on a Quest Designer’s profile. It is still not a big reveal since miHoYo’s games almost always include Quests. Nevertheless, it can be quite a big project, similar to their other titles, but the majority of the specific details should be confirmed along with its announcement.
