Demo Reveals Exciting Details about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Pokemon is a franchise that needs no introduction at all. Nintendo introduced this massive franchise in February 1996 with their first Pokemon Game,  Pokemon Red and Green. Nintendo has come quite far since then, and they don’t plan to stop any time soon.

If you are a seasoned Pokemon enthusiast, then you know that the last pokemon title, Pokemon Sword and Shield, was one of the worst ones Nintendo has ever released. It got near-poor reviews from the majority of its players, and as a player myself, I understand why that was.

However, the newest title, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, has been in quite a spectacular spotlight these past few weeks. There already have been several leaked details of this new title, but the ones we are about to cover a completely new. Let’s have a look at what they are.

New Features

We at TopTierList spotted a youtube video made by GameXplain. In his video, he lists more than 20 details about the new title featuring some pretty old mechanics that we had long forgotten about. In this article, I will briefly review the major ones. So, I recommend watching the entire video for a full slice of the pie.

The first and most exciting point he touches in his video is that NPC trainers no longer initiate battles. This is one of the most memorable things in the pokemon games, and I have to say, I have mixed feelings about it being removed.

On the one hand, it was extremely annoying to keep fighting NPCs when exploring new areas. Consequently, a part of the game’s charm was that frustration and unwanted battles that made you wish you could carry a pokemon center with you everywhere.

However, it is important to note that you can still battle some NPCs in the game by talking to them. The line-of-sight auto-battle is no longer a thing in this pokemon title.

The Gist of It All

  • The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet demo revealed key details about the game.
  • Trainers will no longer start a battle with the player.
  • Movement is far more diverse in this new title of pokemon.
  • Pokemon Scarlet and Violet also offer a lot of character customization features.

Character Customization

Now, if you used to be or are a fan of Pokemon GO, you will likely know about the highly diverse character customization that the game offers. Fortunately, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have another grand feature in it that introduces a ton of character customization options.

Firstly, you will be able to choose from a large selection of clothes aside from the four different academy uniforms there are in this game. Additionally, your options are not limited to clothing only. You can change almost everything about your character.

What is even more exciting is that you have the option to customize your character from the get-go. Some older pokemon games do have character customization, but the customization in this game is on another level.

Movement Options

The last point that we will discuss from the video is the various movement options this game offers. If you are familiar with Pokemon Legends of Arceus, then you may already know about some of these movements.

The player can run, walk, crouch, and sneak to their heart’s content. Additionally, crouching while running makes you do a little cool slide animation. This makes the game feel a little more diverse than the older titles.

Lastly, the mounts in Scarlet and Violet are extraordinary. They completely remove all character movement restrictions and allow you to fully explore each corner of the game. This is going to be a fun feature to mess around with.

Ending Note

Well, trainers, that does it for this review of the small exciting features in the upcoming title. Personally, these features seem super exciting to try out in-game because of how fun they seem.

To conclude, let me know what you think of these features and as always, if you have anything to add to this, let me know in the comments below. Take care.
