Star Wars is one of the biggest franchises, and since its creation, over a hundred games have been made based on Star Wars. These started from consoles, and while some adapted the films, others attempted to expand on the Star Wars Universe. The Star Wars Video Game franchise has gone through a few developmental eras as expected.
The first game was developed back in 1983, George Lucas under “Lucasfilm Games” licensed these games, and most were very popular in the 8bit and 16-bit era of gaming. They either followed the movie’s narrative or focused only on the action aspect. Some of their recent titles include “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019)”, and “Star Wars: Squadrons (2020)”.
Just earlier, Jeff Grubb talked about a potential sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in his Twitch Stream. Jeff Grubb is a Twitter Verified gaming journalist, who has very early access to many gaming news. As such, he talks about these things prior to their announcement very often, and this time is no different.
He talked about it and confirmed the title is “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” at the end of his stream VOD (Timestamp 1:32:03), and this will be the sequel to SWJFO. You can see the shock on Jeff’s face when a random person in chat correctly guessed the title.
Mike Minotti, a reviews editor at GamesBeat, and a journalist just like Jeff, even made a Tweet about it to direct more attention toward the leak, which Jeff retweeted later.
Instead of doxxing me or yelling at me about Mickey Mouse, get worked up over @JeffGrubb saying that Jedi Fallen Order’s sequel name is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!
Distraction!

Nevertheless, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s sequel was confirmed by EA on 25th January 2022, and they said that the sequel will release in Q4 FY23 which means early next year (January – March), however, they did not say anything about its title.
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order follows the story of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Padawan, as he is being hunted by the Ninth and the Second sister, both of whom have been trained by Sith Lord Darth Vader.
As of now, we do not know whether this will be a direct sequel to the story of the first part, or if it will follow a different direction. The fans would love to see more of Cal Kestis and the Mantis Crew, and we cannot blame that.
Their stories had a huge impact on the game, and it was one of the compelling things aside from the gameplay. If you have any further questions, do let us know!
