Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is one of the long-awaited games in the early 2023 lineup. It was developed by Team Ninja, the team that brought the Nioh series, and after looking at the most recent trailer, we can say the hype has never been this high.
The gameplay, combat, and the story itself look terrific, and if that wasn’t enough to keep us excited, it looks like the PlayStation Store may have accidentally shared a bit too much in the description of the game. Our team at TopTierList found names of some DLCs and their expected release dates, taken directly from the PlayStation Store Singapore.
Although the information is tentative, it still gives us a window for when to expect the DLCs, and the names can reveal further content once the game has been released.
Major Points
- The game details on PS Store show what we will get from the Digital Deluxe Edition Set.
- Below those details, the names of three DLCs are listed, along with the scheduled release month, all of which fall under 2023.
- Since the third DLC is set for December 2023, it’s safe to say they will bring out much more in the coming years based on how successful the game is.
Due to the world setting of the game, hardly anyone thinks negatively of it, and if Team Ninja has so many plans scheduled for it, it might exceed even our expectations. Among the things planned for the game, PlayStation Store may have revealed too much as they gave even the names of the DLCs along with the scheduled release month; They are listed as:
Note: Release dates for the DLCs included in the Season Pass may be subject to change.
DLC “Battle of Zhongyuan,” scheduled for release in June 2023
DLC “Conqueror of Jiangdong,” scheduled for release in September 2023
DLC “Upheaval in Jingxiang,” scheduled for release in December 2023
As the note above says, the release dates included here are subject to change, but the order and the names should remain consistent with what is given above. Once the game is out, we can see the many things in-game and even speculate further on the content of these DLCs.
Since this information can be found on the official store page, we can say it is official at this point, but it seems weird that they did not announce this separately. The game is expected to be pretty big, and information regarding DLCs promises players they won’t run out of content, further increasing their likelihood of purchasing the game.
The game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass and will be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, and on PC on the 3rd of March, 2023. You can purchase either the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition for added bonuses.
Are you excited about the game as well? If so, which edition will you purchase and why? And what are your thoughts on the DLCs? Share your opinion with us below, and we will get back to you!
