The year has passed in the blink of an eye, and some of the most memorable things have been the insane game announcements. We had Summers Game Fest full of amazing game trailers. PlayStation also did its best not to let us down.
It doesn’t matter what type of gamer you are; we had everything we could ask for. But if you thought that’s all, you let your guard down. There are more showcases to come, and one such showcase that just got confirmed by an insider is the PlayStations State of Play.
So because *I’ve* been getting asked, I asked if Sony had a show planned for September and got told that at the moment the plan is for a show in August. But just to make sure those that want to be pissed at me will be, “not sure if it will be moved” was also part of the reply!

Nick, the Co-founder of XboxEra, and the Co-host of the XboxEra Podcast confirmed recently about the showcase. Although, we should note that it wasn’t hard to guess the showcase is for September since that aligns with Sony’s previous dates.
However, the indication of the possibility of Sony doing their showcase in August is more exciting. We just started this month, so if they are to do a show, we should be receiving some announcements anytime soon.
It should be noted that Nick mentioned, “not sure if it will be moved”. It indicates that there might be changes to this later, so don’t set your expectations too high. We are close to the showcase, and much is up for speculation.
Moreover, many games were rumored to come, so it is about time we got an announcement for them. To scrape the surface, we have a new Infamous game rumored to come this year. A Sly Cooper installment is also rumored to be in the works. Moreover, there have been recent talks about Fortnite x The Last of Us collaboration, which none of us expected.
Another game that received lots of hype before being overshadowed by other announcements is Silent Hill. There is a Silent Hill game rumored to be in development. However, we have not heard about it much for a few months.
We also had some news with PlayStation VR II, which we are all excited about. Maybe we will receive more game trailers for the PSVR; who knows?
That is all regarding the news; if you have any speculations on what we might see in the showcase, let us know below. We will discuss it with you!
