The Classic Maps Might Come Back to Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is an FPS game that was developed by 343 Industries, published by Xbox Game Studios, and released in 2021. It is the third game in the Reclaimer Saga and 6th in the overall series. The game follows the story of a supersoldier called Master Chief, who fights the enemy on Zeta Halo. It is set in the year 2560 and somewhat follows the story after Halo 5. The player is on a mission to neutralize his former partner, Cortana.

The game was initially supposed to launch back in November 2020 but got delayed and released the following year. The game received a lot of love for the great return, and the content in the game. Players loved the visuals, the gameplay, and the overall design of the game.

Halo Infinite season 2 recently came out, and while there were several bugs, the company assured us that they would fix them soon. In a podcast on the YouTube channel Kinda Funny Games, Joseph Staten, a cinematic director, and a writer for Halo titles replied to a message from the community with a very fun tease.

When he was asked why they aren’t bringing old maps to the game due to the extended season, which can provide us with some content as the maps are one of the staples of the game. He said that it is actually a very good idea, not just for the current situation, but in general. He went on to say,

I can talk about some things, but I can’t talk about that.. there are some great Halo maps um I think we all have our personal favorite guardian, gulch, and pit. Like there are a lot of maps that are awesome right. I think it’d be awesome to play on those maps again, don’t you guys like that sounds like a fun thing?..[reply] I’ll mark that in my yeah.

While he said he cannot disclose much information, this already is a big tease for the fans, and we might see them implement this in future seasons. They went on to talk about their own favorite maps in Halo, and we can not blame them, the community loves Halo maps, and this has been one of the biggest suggestions. There hasn’t been anything else to confirm when this will happen, but we hope to see it soon. Other than that, if you have any questions, do let us know!
