Nintendo is a Japanese multinational company, mainly involved in making video games and consoles. It was founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi as he originally made Hanafuda playing cards. But as they ventured into different lines of businesses during the 60s, they acquired their legal status and gained international popularity. The biggest reason for this was the creation of historical games like Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros.
Ever since then, Nintendo has been a big staple of the gaming industry and has made many consoles such as Game Boy, Nintendo DS, Wii, Switch, etc. Their other famous titles include The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Animal Crossing and so much more.
It is one of the wealthiest companies in the world and the most valuable in Japan. The only people who wouldn’t know about Nintendo are those living under a rock.
Just recently, there was a discussion thread on Famiboards, and it focused on what we might see from Nintendo this summer. They have their guesses from time to time and it’s all fun and games until Emily Rogers replied in the thread with the following message,
Any fans of indie games in here?
Now, to a lot of people, this might just be a small thing, but for those who follow Famiboards, this is a potential hint towards an Indie World showcase that will happen this week. The last time we saw Emily reply to a thread, we received an announcement just shortly after. The old thread said
What are the chances of an Indie World happening for this upcoming week?
To which, she replied,”100%”
Therefore, there is a lot of potential in this one, and we might see many new titles or sequels coming within the showcase, so hold onto your seats. Fans are already speculating what we might see, so if you have any ideas, do let us know!
