Gears of War is one of the most successful and popular franchises created by Epic Games, developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Games Studios. Many rumours have been circulating online suggesting lousy news for the Gears of War fans. It has been three years since the last Gears of War game and even longer since the heyday of the series. On January 27, 2014, in a statement by Microsoft announced that they had acquired the Gears of War franchise from Epic Games.
The Coalition has since released Gears of War 4 and Gears of War 5, two substantial entries but have failed to elevate the same success as the original trilogy. The series has been in decline, and there’s no word on Gears of War 6; some of our beloved leakers talk about this, and it’s getting messy.
On the one hand, Nick, Co-Founder of XboxEra and co-host of the XboxEra Podcast, said that the Gears of War collection is in the works.
Still, an opposed report has come from a credible industry insider, Jez Corden, an editor at WindowsCentral and the co-host at Xbox Two Podcast, who said the Gears of War collection doesn’t exist and will not be shown at Xbox and Bethesda’s E3-style showcase. Which shocked the Gears of War fans as Jez Corden is pretty reliable when it comes to Xbox.
I don't think a Gears Collection exists.

But on the other hand, this might contradict what the co-founder of XboxEra said a day later. Nick said he never said that game would be announced at the showcase, and people assumed on their own; he said there’s another assumption people are making, and that’s that The Coalition is making the game, and there’s a chance that it’s been outsourced, he also said for those who are worried about Gears of War he will not back down from his statement.
After Nick’s take on this, Jez replied with a few tweets, and one said:
It doesn’t exist right now or next year either though lol
it doesn't exist rn or next year either tho lol

Nick hasn’t shown any doubt on his end, while Jez claims it doesn’t exist. Not to mention, this isn’t the first time something similar has happened.
Previously, Jez said Starfield would be a cross-gen, while Nick said it would be next-gen. Guess who won? Nick, as it was confirmed later by Bethesda Games itself.

Regardless, one has to be correct since it’s a 50/50 scenario, so you can pick your side and root for what you love more. That said, take everything here with a grain of salt. While Corden has proven reliable and reputable in the past, it doesn’t change the fact that we are talking about rumours.
