Dark and Dark is a fantasy FPS dungeon game published by IRONMACE a South Korean game developer company. The game offers both PvP and PvE modes which give the players a more diverse experience.  Each character’s abilities and strengths are tested and influenced by these modes. Some thrive in PvP while others are best suited for PvE. Keeping all of that and much more in mind, we created our rankings.

As far as we are aware, the game is still in the early stages, and there will be a lot more to come in the future, but for the time being, this article is based on the present meta. We’ll follow along as the updates come in and provide readers with everything as it happens.

S Tier

The strongest class in our list will be included in the S Tier. These have an edge over the rest due to their impressive powers and set of skills.

Even though the cleric class in Dark and Darker isn’t often regarded as the strongest, we had an excellent experience with it. They can provide you with anything you need, including healing, tanking, doing a tonne of damage, and more. Given their versatility and promising stats, they can fit into any team. Due to these impressive abilities, the players will be able to overcome any obstacles with ease. However, there’s a slight flaw in their game which is how slow they are which can get a little frustrating. But other than that they have more than enough quality to make up for it and earn the top spot in our Dark and Darker Tier List.

What comes to mind when you hear about Wizards? Casting spells? Access to potions? Well, the Wizard class in Dark and Darker isn’t any different. They use their casting spell abilities to take on their foes. In the current update of the game, despite having the strongest set of moves, they fall short in a few key areas. That is their low health bar and slow speed which the players will have to be very patient with. Overall a very strong class as of right now and for their full potential we will highly recommend using them in PvE mode.

A Tier

The A Tier will hold a place for the Rogue class. They fall as the second-best class in our rankings.

Rogue is a very different class than other the game has to offer. They are neither particularly skilled in combat, nor do they have a lot of strength to go toe to toe against strong enemies. However, they have a few sets of skills that will come in handy in many situations. These include fast movement, quick attacks, quick item interaction, the ability to pick locks without a lock pick, the ability to spot and neutralize traps, and the ability to move more stealthily. The Rogue class, however, also has low magic resistance, low damage bonus, and low health making them slightly weaker than the class ranked in the S Tier.

We will classify the Ranger class in the B rank of our list.

Ranger could easily get a spot in the S Tier on our list but however, but we didn’t get the same satisfaction we were expecting after trying out this class. They excel in PvP settings, have excellent long-range combat, and are quite skilled in combat. Being quick with the bow, tracking enemies, setting traps, and quickly starting a campfire adds up to their abilities. However, the Ranger class also experiences Low Damage with Melee Weapons and Cannot Equip Most Melee Weapons which robbed them of a place in the above tiers. Still a very strong class in the game.

C Tier

We have now reached the C Tier in our Dark and Darker Tier List which is occupied by the Fighter Class.

The Fighter class is best suited for players fairly new to the game. They are quite easy to get the hang of which can help you get familiar with the game really quickly. Their abilities and powers include equipping heavy weapons and armor. They are quite quick with their attacking moves and speed which gives them an advantage in many battles. They are, however, extremely reliant on their gear; without it, they are essentially helpless and unable to cast any spells.

D Tier

D Tier.

We’ve now reached the article’s D Tier, the final Tier. Barbarian, is the last class on the list and our weakest class.

Many of the classes in the game adopt a stealth strategy but the Barbarian is the complete opposite. They are the most aggressive class in the game, making them a delight to use for players who want to go all out. They go well in paired with the Wizard and Cleric class which gives them a great buff making them even more strong. Without it, they possess little threat and can be found vulnerable at times. Barbarians have a lot of health, a two-handed weapon damage bonus, and innate magic resistance. Barbarians, however, also experience sluggish base movement speed, slow attack speed, and slow interaction speed.

So there you have it that was our Dark and Darker class tier list. We tried our best to give an insight from a neutral perspective but that can be very challenging when it comes to ranking lists like ours. That’s mainly due to it requiring a more personal experience and thoughts which differs from person to person.

So with that, we would like to hear your thoughts about it in the comments section. Our opinions on the game are not definitive, and we would love to hear what classes have been working well for you, because chances are that your experiences might vary dramatically from ours.
