S Tier

Attack on Titan Tactics tier list
S Tier.

The first tier includes the ultimate best characters the game has to offer. Their potential is insane, and their performance is already over the top. One certainly has no second thoughts when reviewing the key points of these following few characters. They easily secure the top tier as their residence. They exhibit unbeatable statistics and extraordinary strengths.

Mikasa Ackerman

We have the legendary Mikasa, who singlehandedly survived the brutal killings and was nominated the best soldier in the 104th Training Corps. A weapon of choice used by her is a combo of 8 Thunder Spears. Her hidden power is her accurate intuition which saves her from her kidnappers in the game and the anime.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Silver

Levi

Levi is one of the most difficult characters to kill, which is nearly baffling, considering his 6k HP which is nothing ordinary. His strengths include considerable damage infliction and the ability to stun his opponents. Also, he’s one of the best tags among the scouts available. Levi is also said to be the character with the highest kill count of about 200.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Jet Black

Armin Arlelt

Another great tag among the scouts, Armin has sustainable stats in opposition to his low cost. He’s quite accessible. No wonder he’s the strongest gold unit there is. His HP is clambering from that of Levi’s, about 7k. Only a selected variant of titans can claim to leave him on edge upon hitting twice. In exception to them, Armin’s performance is admirable for the most part.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Erwin Smith

Erwin’s ATK comes to be about 9700. Going hand in hand, his HP is equally amazing; about 8.8k. His efficient work on the battlefield promises constant deployment of troops while guaranteeing three to four hits to a single titan. He’s also said to be the best of all crimson units, which is an extraordinary achievement. Furthermore, he is affiliated with the Surveyal Regiment.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Eren Jaeger

Following the characters in the first tier of our Attack on Titan Tier List, we have Eren. He was ranked 5th among all 104 cadet corps, and that is all thanks to his effortlessly lethal fighting skills and an ATK rate of 9.4k.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Nifa

Nifa has promisingly useful stats, especially considering its low price. An attribute that shows her leadership is increasing every gold unit’s SP by 18%. This SP skill also raises its ATK. As a result, it increases its time on the battlefield too. That contributes to its long-lasting strength and durability too.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Silver

A Tier

Attack on Titan Tactics
A Tier.

Coming up next on our Attack on Titan Tactics Tier List, we have the many characters belonging to the A Tier. The characters in the current tier are not to be neglected just because of a step-down. They portray an excellent multitude of abilities in addition to admirable statistics.

Bertholdt Hoover (Halloween)

The character has been gifted with an especially remarkable ODM (Omni-Directional Mobility Gear) unit for offensive purposes. His HP (7k) is high, and so is his ATK of about 8.4K. An advantage of this entity is the facultative healing ability that comes after dealing with a titan of any magnitude.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Silver

Jean Kirschtein (Scouts)

A maximum of 3 hits is required to completely dysfunctional an opponent when faced by Jean. That is all due to his maintenance of an excellent HP and ATK score, both 8k. Apart from that, he also benefits his partnered allies by increasing their ATK by 20%.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Petra

Petra’s supporting role is in her fluid mobility, which is aided by the vertical maneuvering equipment that she carries with her. She has had about 58 titans slaughtered; Levi recognized her ferocity, and thus she was selected for the Special Operation Squad. Her only failed attempt was that of Annie Leonhart.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Gold

Sasha Braus

Sasha certainly earned her position in the A tier; she is self-aiding and helps her teammates sustain their health when she uses her SP. In addition, her own HP is maximized in such a case. Together with ATK, Sasha has visibly effective attacking strategies in handy.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Jet Black

Jean Kirschtein (Halloween)

Considering the amount he costs (3), he’s ranked as the second most damage-inflicting character. It uses its SP repeatedly since it is quickly charged. Upon fulfillment of SP, it launches an offensive unit. The unit is generally less effective than the total AOE, but it’s still somewhat useful.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Oruo Bozad

Oruo costs about 4 units and has a promising prospect of increasing its HP up to 40%. Among the silver units, its strength is unmatched due to the tremendous increase recorded in ATK when its SP is fulfilled; ATK boosts up to 210%. Despite the HP decrease, individually, Oruo’s HP isn’t very high, which serves as a mild drawback.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Silver

Mikasa Ackerman (Jet Black)

Similar to the Mikasa mentioned in the S Tier. However, a possible drawback is its moderately effective AOE skill. Despite that, its AOE is very valuable among the other Jet Black characters. In addition to this, her leadership qualities are still equally proficient.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Jet Black

B Tier

Attack on Titan Tactics tier list
B Tier.

The current rank is focused on the mediocre characters of the game. They have situational benefits and can act well on demand, but it isn’t guaranteed permanently. That unreliability is a major drawback when it comes to them. Apart from them, let’s check out their statistical data separately.

Levi (Jet Black)

Ideally, Levi is supposed to land 4 to 5 blows on his enemy. At that point, his barrage ability comes into effect. If the character operates otherwise, then the rest of the character buildup is disturbed and thus degrades Levi on the whole. That fragility compels us to add him to the current group of the Attack on Titan Tactics Tier List.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Jet Black

Hange Zoe (Silver)

Hange Zoe can boost her ally’s ATK in SP, but this isn’t as efficient due to costing only 4 units. The unit is best used against defenseless titans; she offers her best skills in such a situation.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Silver

Nanaba

For a character to be costing only 3 units, Nanaba has a high killing rate. Nanaba’s occupation was that of a soldier in the Survey Corps and Squad Mike. She isn’t that good in the offense, but her endurance and skill to stick alive through thick and thin are very impressive

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Crimson

Connie Springer

In the same 104 Training Corps class where Mikasa dominates, Connie has the 8th position assigned to him. He is an officer in the Survey Corps; in the offensive media, he has a skill set ranking 6/10. His combat is probably ranked so low because of the convenient plot line, as he mostly uses vertical maneuvering machines when dealing with opponents. Irrespective, his speed is remarkably 10/10.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Crimson

Keith

Keith has a very high ATK of about 9.7k, which makes him an excellent attacker for costing only 3 units. Despite that, his charge rate is average. He’s not the best among the Scouts and has approximately 2 people killed for sure. Something that had a long-lasting toll on Keith was the mass murder of so many of his people, after which he didn’t think of himself as worthy of any emotion from his peers.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Crimson

Annie (Crimson)

Annie is an excellent cadet for long-distance targets; however, at the same time, she struggles to maintain a high ATK. In this way, the character’s performance depletes around the 3rd hit she throws to a small titan. Her skill enables other cadet units to increase their chances of SP gainage by 50%. Upon her SP completion, heavy damage is dealt.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Crimson

Ilse Langnar (Silver)

Belonging to the Scout Regiment, Ilse has a couple of special skills, which include HP maintenance replenishment. Allies can depend on Ilse for an HP boost, too, due to her fast SP. In terms of HP, she is compared to some of her superiors, such as Oruo. Her attack damage isn’t that impressive, though fitting for characters of the same class as her. Additionally, she can reduce HP by 4% while the object is in the air.

Attribute Silver

Hitch

It costs 2 units and thus has the highest damage rate for such characters. Yields 5 maximum blows to a single target, thus demanding more time which indicates Hitch being target-specific. Her ATK is, on average, nearly 648. SP skill is fast when required to be recharged but doesn’t bear enough power.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Crimson

Jean (Training Corps)

Jean is well known for effortlessly mastering the skill of directional mobility, aerially or terrestrially. Either way, he’s a pro. In a battle with Reiner, he splendidly displayed his proficiency with thunder spears.

Rarity
Attribute

Reiner Braun (Halloween)

The last character in the current tier is Reiner, who is a free scouting unit. He, too, is target specific as his affinity lies toward targeting titans with a high HP though his own isn’t much high on the scale. To counter that, he has high ATK damage stats.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Gold

C Tier

AOTT
C Tier.

Moving on, we have the less preferred characters. They’ve earned this reputation due to their poor performance in moderately tough levels of the game. Upon an opportunity arising, they surely can get their way. However, we don’t recommend using them often since they’re unreliable for the most part.

Erwin Smith (Gold)

No doubt Erwin has a superior leadership skill that boosts ATK by a solid 20% for all his mates. His attacking strategy and success are high, but it’s limited to a single hit. Thus it’s more than probable that the larger titans will survive his offense. SP is alright. Erwin can stun, which is good, considering his liminal stats.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Gold

Annie Leonhart

She belongs to the military police unit, where her feats are limited. For a cost of 4, she does appear to be a solid character, given her high AOE stat. SP is rechargeable pretty quickly. Minor damage is dealt to the enemies with the SP skills. Her SP also enables her ability to blind her opponents for a considerable amount of time.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Crimson

Eren Jaeger (Crimson)

He is second to the S Tier Eren in handling attacking titans. Similar to Erwin, he has a good attacking rate, but it is restrained by 1 hit only, which reduces the chances of successfully eradicating a titan. After it hits, he is exposed in front of jumping titans. His slow SP charging ability doesn’t add much to his favor too.

Attribute Crimson

Ymir

Ymir is one of the scouting tags. Her SP brings about perceptible qualities within, but the charge rate is very low, which puts a limitation on this character. Use Ymir when your cards are to be cycled through, as the character is best at doing so.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Sky Blue

Armin Arlelt (Crimson)

Belonging to the sect of cadets, Armin gets no benefit from the leadership abilities. His stat is average enough coming with a cost of 4 units. His stun ability is the most highlight-worthy in the display, but that too loses its shine when encountered by many titans since it works best on a single target.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Crimson

D Tier

aott
D Tier.

The last of the characters featured in the Attack on Titan Tier List lacks any outstanding quality. Their profiles are accumulated with the bare wellness of a good feeling. In short, these are best to use as a starter, but as you progress in your game, you’ll get an insight into why these aren’t a good option.

Eld Gin

There’s nothing he’s well in particular. His SP charges quickly, which is note-worthy; however, the AOE damage that comes with it isn’t much to work with. HP also appears to be low.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Gold

Mikasa Ackerman (Swimsuit)

Ironic how this Mikasa wouldn’t stand a chance in front of the S Tier Mikasa. Her SP only barely increases the ATK and HP requirements. It has a total of 4 hits which isn’t efficient when faced with AOE units.

Rarity 5 Star
Attribute Crimson

Levi (Swimsuit)

Levi permits 4 hits but is seemingly nothing in front of Jet Black Levi, as discussed previously. The relevant barrage effect isn’t aided much, all thanks to his poor SP, which takes quite some time to charge.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Crimson

Marco Bodt

Marco is a situation-preferring unit; he’s best used against falling/jumping titans. Otherwise, he aligns well with easy targets. Other training corps experience an 18% increase in ATK because of him.

Rarity 4 Star
Attribute Gold

Christa Lenz (Gold)

Her stats are extremely below acceptable; any other character can easily outdo her. Specializes pathetically in single targets, clearly incapable of cutting the leg/arm. Probably, that is why the unit ranks so low, even among the barrage characters.

Rarity 3 Star
Attribute Gold

Verdict

On a conclusive note, let us give a quick rundown of the Attack on Titan Tactics Tier List. The article begins with the flawless, most ideal characters of the game. Certain are considered the players’ favorites, if not all. Next, we have the gifted slimly with disadvantages but overall on the good side. The B tier is a liminal space between the good and bad, performance-wise mediocre. The C Tier has extremely bad but still tolerable units. In contrast, the D Tier is a compilation of the worst characters of the game. They are most deficient in excelling and are the epitome of everything the S Tier characters wouldn’t aspire to be.

While formulating this article, we focused entirely on gathering correct statistical information. Plus, any special qualities and terminologies that are introduced have been discussed. Your experience with the characters may vary, which is why differential opinions may arise, which is completely fine.
