Brawl Stars Tier List: All Fighters Ranked [2023]

All 61 Fighters In Brawl Stars Will Be Ranked Here In This Article.

If you love playing video games, I am sure you don’t want to miss out on an opportunity like this. Our Brawl Stars Tier List 2022 will give you deep insight into the game’s characters in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. Not only that, but you will also gain knowledge about each character’s best and worst moves.

Rather than reading the reviews and guides about a game after playing it, I suggest doing it before you grab your controller. Doing so would give you all the information necessary to pass every level with perfection and enjoy the gameplay. Otherwise, you will be unaware of what a character is capable of and its powers, leaving you in a position you don’t want to be in. So, without any further ado, let’s begin and start ranking all the characters based on their skill level and abilities.

Key Points

  • There are a total of 61 Brawlers in the game.
  • The ranking has been done based on each Brawler’s skill, agility, and the amount of damage they can deal.
  • Bea, Bonnie, and Max are among the best characters.
  • Jessie, Colt, and Mortis are among the worst characters.

Summary

The table below summarizes the entire article. Below you can see how all the game’s characters have been ranked into five categories.

S Tier

best brawlers of brawl stars
S Tier.

The S rank is the first category on our Brawl Stars Tier List, where you will find the best and most extraordinary Brawlers. These characters have incredible strengths and are epic in battles.

All the characters mentioned in the S-tier are almost flawless and are capable of putting up great fights. Moreover, their outstanding strengths and performance levels are incredibly high. Let’s take a look at it.

Bea

The first character in the S tier is Bea. Very few Brawlers outrange her, and her super is great against tanks and medium-range Brawlers. Also, her supercharged shot will take out a ton of HP, no matter how much you have.

All these characteristics make Bea invulnerable to enemy attacks and one of the best fighters in the game.

Rarity Epic
Class Marksman

Bonnie

Bonnie is the next powerful Brawler in the game. Her projectile speed is breakneck, so her attacks are easy to land, even though she is kind of like a sharpshooter and has a slow-moving speed in her cannon form. Her super is an assassin so she can be used on any map or situation in the game.

Rarity Epic
Class Marksman

Max

This Brawler has got excellent DPS, and at a swift movement speed, she outranges a lot of Brawlers, at least when she can be moving so fast again Brawlers that do outrange her; her super allows her to dodge between shots and stuff. She provides a lot of value for her whole team, and I don’t see her much in non-competitive play, but she is so good.

Rarity Mythic
Class Support

Janet

Janet has been one of the best Brawlers in the game for a while now. Her stats have been nerved here and there, but her abilities make her ridiculously strong. Without changes to her mechanics, she will probably stay at the top of the meta unless she gets fair roots to nerf her reload speed or attack damage.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Marksman

Otis

Otis started as one of the worst Brawlers in the game, and then his super started dealing damage to enemies, and that made him instantly so much better when they gave him that chance. In the last update, he received a supercharged gear, and apparently, it has made a more significant difference for him than I thought it would because he is in the top three now.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Damage Dealer

Griff

The only thing that has changed about Griff since the last update was that he got a Reload gear. So it makes sense that he is at the top of the list. Brawlers that outrange his primary attack, he can sort of deal with him. Still, his super is unavoidable until there is so much damage plus, he is throwing up more attacks and more than ever, thanks to that reload gear, and he is just powerful, definitely the king of the meta.

Rarity Epic
Class Controller

Poco

The last character in the S tier is Poco. Poco’s recent damage buff resulted in his removal from the top three best characters of Brawl Stars, but it did not remove him from the S tier. He is still straightforward to use, deals plenty of damage, and provides much healing for his whole team. He is incredibly versatile. He is outstanding at the moment.

Rarity Rare
Class Support

A Tier

Good brawlers of Brawl stars
A Tier.

These Brawlers are competitive, and you can play them in most places. However, there are still better options in the S tier. These characters have excellent skill sets, but they also have one or two drawbacks, because of which they are considered slightly weaker than S-tier characters.

Brock

Brock has always had good range and DPS, but his projectiles were too slow for him to be a top-tier Brawler. With the new reload gadget, he can fire more rockets one after another, and it has made a big difference for him even after the reload gear got nerfed.

Rarity Rare
Class Marksman

Carl

The second B-tier character is Carl, and he is strong at long-range and close-range; he hardly has any counters. He is just overall generally good. However, some options are slightly better and barely squeeze him into the A tier.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Damage Dealer

Surge

He is an excellent counter to tanks, and as soon as he has passed his first two upgrades, he can hold his own against pretty much any other Brawler in the game. Playing him does depend on how well you can keep him alive, but if he is alive and power is up, he is tough to beat.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Damage Dealer

Crow

Crow is a perfect counter against tanks and healers, and even if there aren’t tanks or healers on the enemy team, his slowing toxin makes him an excellent choice in pretty much any situation. He has been placed in the A tier instead of the S tier because there are certain stages in the game that he can not withstand, and comparatively, Brawlers in the S tier can.

Rarity Legendary
Class Assassin

Amber

She received the reload gear with the current update and greatly benefits from it—possibly more than any other Brawler who got it. With increased reload speed, her constant area control is insane, and she can deal so much damage. She might have been in the S tier, and some pros suggested it. However, there were quite a few that suggested that she stay precisely where she is at.

Rarity Legendary
Class Controller

Colonel Ruffs

One of Brawl Stars’ famous characters, Colonel Ruffs, is in the A tier. As long as his super can increase the stats of his teammates and himself as much as they do now, he will never be a lousy Brawler, or it is improbable to be, at least even without the help of his teammates. Ruffs are strong enough to hold his own against most Brawlers in a 1v1 fight.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Support

Belle

She has as much range as any other sharpshooter in the game, and her projectiles are reasonably fast and relatively easy to hit, at least even at medium range. Her shots aren’t strong enough to take tanks easily, but she can change that with her super which makes her a decent tank counter.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Marksman

Piper

She is one of the best long-range Brawlers in the game, not only because of how much range she has but because she also deals a lot of damage from that range. She also has more than one ability that keeps enemies away from her, so she is always pretty tough to take out, and in the long-range meta, she is a little better than before the new upgrade.

Rarity Epic
Class Marksman

Colette

Colette’s a firm counter against tanks and has a decent enough range and DPS to do well on most Maps and game modes. Her super is easy to use, and she can kill anybody with a quick two hits and a super, and even though I wouldn’t say I like playing her, the pros are saying she is pretty great.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Damage Dealer

Spike

Spike is pretty fragile, but besides some Brawlers, he has no weaknesses because he does so much damage from the long-range and even more from the close-range. However, compared to other S-tier characters, he is weak, which is why he has been placed in the A-tier.

Rarity Legendary
Class Damage Dealer

Gene

He is the second Brawler to receive his Mythic gear, and the addition of this super range is perfect, but it hasn’t made as much of a difference as we thought it would. That doesn’t mean that it is still not a great ability if you want to play with him. But he is not as strong as I thought he would be with the gear.

Rarity Mythic
Class Controller

Gale

Between his broad main attack and his super and twister Gadget, Gale is probably one of the best counters to tanks in the game. Not only that, he has a decent run, so he is always helpful no matter what.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Controller

Penny

Penny’s rework made her one of the best Brawlers in the game, and since then, she has been nerfed a little bit. However, despite her Nerfs, her abilities are still very versatile, and she is still an A-tier Brawler.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Artillery

Gus

Gus had a bit of a rework and got a bunch of buffs, and that was exactly what he needed for competitive players to max him out and start using him. He got significantly better when his second-star power was released, and now he is a top-tier Brawler. Some pros even suggest putting him in the top three.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Support

Stu

He is usually an S-tier Brawler, but the current meta is full of Brawlers with broad attacks, which means they can still hit him even if he uses his super to try and dodge them.

Rarity Epic
Class Assassin

Buster

He is not very good in solo situations where he can’t charge his super off of his teammates, but when his teammates are there and in 3v3 modes, he is outstanding. There is a chance that he could be an S-tier Brawler, maybe even one of the best in the game at the moment, but I did not want to place him in the S tier without the pros conference, so he is going to stay in this tier for now.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Tank

B Tier

Average brawlers of the game
B Tier.

These Brawlers on the B rank of our Brawl Stars Tier List 200 are somewhat competitive, but maybe not in every situation. In other words, Brawlers in the current category are reasonable compared to C and D-tier characters but weaker than those mentioned in the S and A tiers. Let’s explore and find out more about these characters.

Sam

The next character on the list is Sam. He got a pretty big Nerf to his star power, and that ability kept him at the top of the meta. Now that he has been toned down, he plays much more like the average close-range Brawler, and B-tier seems to suit him well now.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Assassin

Barley

He recently received a buff to his attack damage, but it only seems to be helping him a little. He had reasonable area control when his range wasn’t buffed. So he is only good on the same Maps he was before; he is just a little better now.

Rarity Rare
Class Artillery

Lou

Lou does have some pretty good abilities, but they all depend on how well he can land his attack. He has one of the most formidable attacks that gamers can use in the game, and it can be mighty, but it is a little inconsistent and difficult to get people frozen in time.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Controller

Tara

Her super is the only thing she has going for her. Admittedly though, it can turn games around, but in a highly competitive skilled game, it is hard to land a good super sometimes, on the proper mapper mode or to counter specific brawlers. She can be good, which is why she is in the B tier.

Rarity Mythic
Class Damage Dealer

Nita

After the new update, she got some excellent buffs a few days ago and hasn’t moved since then. She gets to bear a lot more often now, so this is a good counter against Brawlers that struggle to take out her bear, but there are better options if the enemy does have a way to get rid of her bear.

Rarity Rare
Class Damage Dealer

Rico

He hasn’t undergone significant changes in quite a while, and B-tier seems to be where he is sitting. He is a good brawler for specific maps, and on those Maps, he is insane, but otherwise, you don’t play him, which is the perfect description for the B tier.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Damage Dealer

Tick

He is one of the only two Brawlers in the game with Mythic gear, and while it is not lousy gear, it just doesn’t make a big difference at the competitive level. That being said, his crazy amount of area control always makes him at least B-tier.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Artillery

Sprout

Sprout isn’t as consistent as the tick when it comes to throwers, but on Maps, where Sprout is goofing on, it ruins enemy strategies and is constantly completely untouchable for most of the match.

Rarity Mythic
Class Artillery

Pam

She has no overwhelming abilities, but everything about her is at least decent. She is a great Brawler to max out if you want to pick that one Brawler because she is generally good everywhere. She doesn’t have any hard counters, but she also doesn’t count anybody else, which is why she is suitable for the B tier.

Rarity Epic
Class Support

Sandy

Not much has changed for Sandy recently. His super is still very good, but there are other Brawlers like Griffer Poco; they have more all-out attacks, a little easier to hit enemies than Sandy’s, and Sandy’s range is relatively short, so B-tier seems to work well for him.

Rarity Legendary
Class Controller

Squeak

Honestly, I think that in lower trophy areas, Squeak is still very strong. Still, in the competitive matches, his attacks are straightforward to dodge in 1v1, and their damage is not enough to make him a top-tier Brawler anymore.

Rarity Mythic
Class Controller

Eve

She got a good size buff to her attack damage, which moves her up in the list. She is a little fragile, but she does have a great range. She also deals a fair amount of damage, and her gadget is terrific at getting her out of sketchy situations.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Damage Dealer

Fang

Fang has everything a suitable tank/assassin needs, plus a fair enough attack range that will charge up his super against long-range Brawlers. However, players are getting better and better at playing around Fang and making sure that they are close enough to each other that they can take him out if he does happen to super onto their side of the field.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Assassin

Ash

He is slightly better after the update, mostly because he was one of the Brawlers that received a supercharged gadget and uses it quite well. A fully-raged Ash is always a top-tier Brawler, and more supers mean more Rage, which acts, as it turns out, and has made him pretty solid.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Tank

Bo

He rose high into the meta a couple of updates ago, and it was kind of out of nowhere, so many players had to figure out how to play against him. Most players can dodge his attacks and avoid his minds more conveniently now that he is being played all the time, and they have a little more practice.

Rarity Epic
Class Damage Dealer

Lola

She received a reload gear, and the current update has made her a bit better, but the authentic gear got a Nerf, so it is probably one of her better options, but it is just not quite as strong as it used to be. Lola is still suitable for how much area control she has with her attack and super and how much damage she can deal with. In other words, she can shred through stuff.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Damage Dealer

Emz

She is an excellent counter to tanks and is a decent Brawler against most other Brawlers, but she also does get countered, and you typically don’t want to play her in the right situation.

Rarity Epic
Class Damage Dealer

Leon

He isn’t as good as he used to be for many of the same reasons that Sandy isn’t. The vision gear and Brawlers with broad attacks make Leon pretty easy to play against, and invisibility isn’t as good as he used to be.

Rarity Legendary
Class Assassin

C Tier

bad brawlers of Brawl Stars
C Tier.

The second last category on the list is the C tier, where you will come across Brawlers, which are neither tremendous nor very bad. They are just good. These characters perform well in certain situations, but mostly, they don’t do well, which is why we have placed them in the current category.

Frank

Frank is not useless because he has so much HP that it takes a lot to take him out. However, it is effortless to pick on him, and many brawlers do that. His strengths are not impressive, but he is still not the worst-performing character. Moreover, his abilities are just okay, and he cannot deal a tremendous amount of damage to his enemies.

Rarity Epic
Class Tank

Similar Article: BRAWLHALLA TIER LIST: BEST BRAWHALLA CHARACTERS

Nani

Her attacks are brutal to hit on close-range maps with many walls, so she is only instrumental on specific maps in certain modes. Ever since the shield gear release, it has also been a lot harder for her to one-shot Brawlers with her.

Rarity Epic
Class Marksman

Bibi

Her reload speed is pretty fast, and she does a fair amount of damage with each attack, but she still has a concise range, and she has no abilities that quickly bring her close to enemies, at least not like a jump or something like that. Also, in a long-range meta like the game is right now, she struggles.

Rarity Epic
Class Tank

Buzz

Buzz has an ability that allows him to approach enemies, but it is still pretty easy to counter with abilities that can stun him or knock him back. Although he can be good in lower trophy areas on specific maps, he tends to struggle competitively.

Rarity Chromatic
Class Assassin

Rosa

She has high health and DPS, so she can take out pretty much any brawler that she can get within range of her, but as I said, this meta is a pretty long-range, and also, there are a lot of heavy hitting damage dealers that can take her out pretty quickly.

Rarity Rare
Class Tank

8-Bit

8-bit’s slow movement speed is tough to play with. His range and DPS do make up for it, at least somewhat. Unfortunately for 8-bit, some brawlers who counter him have moved up in the meta.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Damage Dealer

Darryl

Darryl can easily get knocked back or stunned after using a super, but when he does have one thing going for him, and that is the fact that his super is a lot more consistent than other assassins because it does automatically recharge.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Tank

Meg

She recently received a slight buff, but the pros say she is still not very good. But who knows, we are still relatively early into the season. Maybe that’s a little time the pros will say, she might be a little better than C tier but for now, this is where we are putting her.

Rarity Legendary
Class Tank

Grom

His attacks are elementary to dodge without the help of walls or his teammates. Now grom’s X factor star power does make his attacks pretty strong, so he can be a decent choice if you can keep enemies from getting too close away from him, but his attacks are straightforward to dodge, so without walls or help from his teammates, he is usually not that good.

Rarity Epic
Class Artillery

D Tier

Worst brawlers of the game
D Tier.

D tier is the last category and where you will find the worst characters. It is the bottommost category, and all the Brawlers mentioned in the tier are useless. Players should avoid playing with these characters and save their precious time. These Brawlers rarely perform well in battles and do not possess any good skills or abilities.

Edgar

The first D-tier character on the list is Edgar, who, after the recent update, got a supercharge, a powerful gear, but he still has two counters and is still easy to play around with. So it did not help him very much.

In other words, the latest update did not enhance his abilities or make him a powerful Brawler.

Rarity Epic
Class Assassin

Mr. P

He has no competitive play right now. In any situation where Mr. P might be a decent brawler, there is always a better option, and since this is a competitive list, he belongs to the bottom.

Rarity Mythic
Class Controller

Shelly

She is almost as useless as Mr. P, but at the very least, she is a good counter against triple tank comps if that happens. But before picking her, you would probably want to pick Spike beef or some other anti-tank Brawlers.

Rarity Starting Brawler
Class Damage Dealer

Jacky

Jacky’s range is pretty small, and she struggles to get close to enemies, even with a couple of her abilities. She does have some damage if she can pull them with her super. But her super also doesn’t have a perfect range, so generally, she is pretty easy to stay away from.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Tank

Dynamike

His shots are tough to land in competitive matches and get outranged by every other thrower in the game. Dynamike’s performance is poor, and he cannot put up great fights, which is why he has been placed in the D tier.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Artillery

Byron

He got some major Nerfs a few updates ago, and since then, he has been traveling lower and lower on the list. His speed is so slow; whether he is healing teammates or dealing damage, he never does enough.

Rarity Mythic
Class Support

Bull

He is at least usable in Heist because of his high DPS, but he is not good in pretty much any other game mode because of how short its range is. His super does help him approach enemies, but it makes it vulnerable and makes him an easy target while using it.

Rarity Rare
Class Tank

El Primo

He is down here for a very similar reason as Bull. His super is slightly better than the Bull because he is not so vulnerable while using it. However, El Primo is still not good at fighting tanks and enemies with great agility and dodging capabilities.

Rarity Rare
Class Tank

Jessie

She doesn’t have a lot of use in competitive play because there are just better options than her. However, there are a few particular maps that Jesse does very well, so that is not that bad, but comparatively, she is not good.

Rarity Super Rare
Class Controller

Colt

He doesn’t have any balance changes, but he received the reload gear, which has helped him a little bit; there are better options than him, especially considering that the reload gear got a Nerf.

Rarity Rare
Class Damage Dealer

Mortis

Mortis hasn’t had any recent stat changes, but his Seer replacement has much more to do with the other Brawlers on our list. Mortisis’s most extensive counters are high up in the meta, so he is usually not a good choice, even in Brawl Balls.
