Bayonetta 3 might return in possible June’s Nintendo Direct

Bayonetta is an action-adventure hack and slashes video game created by Hideki Kamiya, developed by PlatinumGames, and published by Sega; the game was initially released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 in Japan, where the franchise made its debut in October 2009 and became a fan favorite game in no time; The game was later released on the Wii U a sequel Bayonetta 2, followed in 2014 due to its massive hit. The two games were later released on Nintendo Switch in February 2018.

Bayonetta takes place in Vigrid, a fictional city in Europe. The game stars the eponymous character, a witch whose real name is cereza, a titular witch capable of shapeshifting and using various firearms. She possesses magical attacks and can use her hair to summon demons to dispatch her foes. The game features a rating system, which gives players a grade based on their performance, and a combat system similar to the Devil May Cry series.

Bayonetta 3 was announced by Nintendo at The Game Awards 2017, and later gameplay trailer was shown at the September Nintendo Direct 2021, which is set to be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2022. With Summer Game Fest starting this week, there have been many rumors and leaks suggesting that Nintendo Direct will occur, and there will be a small Nintendo showcase.

Samus Hunter, a Nintendo news leaker, claimed on May 31 that Nintendo Direct is planned for mid-June and later backed his statement with a tweet showing an email received by his source, who could not disclose his name due to NDA hinting that we will see Nintendo Direct this June.

Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Bayonetta, posted a huge thread about teasing Bayonetta 3 in these last couple of days. The fans of the most awaited game are thrilled; he said in one of his tweets that you should definitely play Bayonetta 1 and 2 if you plan to play Bayonetta 3, and that person can then enjoy Bayonetta 3 100 times more.
