According to the rumors circulating online about Nier: Automata on the Switch and speaking on Twitter, Spanish journalist Nacho Requena replied to one tweet which hints that Nier: Automata is in the Partner Showcase tomorrow. The tweet to which he responded said:
By the way, now the direct has been announced, all that remains is to know that super popular game of 2018 that you mentioned
2017-2018, came out between that time depending on version
2017-2018, salió entre ese tiempo dependiendo de la versión 😉

Nacho Requena later posted a Yoko Taro clapping gif to a tweet linking to his twitch channel for the same post, and Yoko Taro has mentioned multiple times in the past he would have liked to have Nier on the Switch, but it was up to Square Enix to fund the port.
Production of the game began in 2014, with series creator Yoko Taro, producer Yosuke Saito, and lead composer Keiichi Okabe returning to their respective roles and artist Akihiko Yoshida taking charge of character design.
The game was praised for its story and themes, gameplay, and music. Criticism was leveled at some visual and technical problems. Sales surpassed expectations; as of now, the game has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.
Nier: Automata is a great game, but the original port on Steam was not so good they later released a better version on Gamepass PC, which then resulted in negative reviews on Steam as that wasn’t patched, which resulted in Steam eventually getting patched to the Gamepass version.
Nier: Automata would be an excellent addition to the Switch, and many new players will enjoy the game, bringing more fans to this masterpiece. Nothing is certain now, but as the creator showed interest in the past, we can expect Nier: Automata on Switch.
