Activision Survey Hints at a Potential Skylanders Compilation Title

The release date of this title is in Q4 of 2023, according to the survey.

Skylanders is a beloved toy-to-life action-adventure video game series by Activision. It incorporates a unique and fun aspect into gaming, and even though it wasn’t revolutionary in the gaming industry, it received favorable reviews worldwide. Many gamers have hopes for a potential sequel in the near future.

According to a recent Reddit post by user SkylThrowaway, he answered a survey conducted by Activision, where the questions point toward a potential Skylanders Compilation Title. This survey is not accessible to everyone and is only sent to those whose preferences align with the game in question.

So, if your preferences are similar to Skylanders, then Activision might also send you the survey. The leaker mentioned that this was his throwaway account since he didn’t want to leak through his main one, but he did his best to guide others on how he got to this survey.

(Throwaway account) Took a survey for Activision. I was asked about potential interest in a new Skylanders compilation title! from skylanders

Major Points

  • The survey reveals some of the titles included in the compilation, including Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, Skylanders: Giants, and Skylanders: Swap Force remastered.
  • It also mentions that the game will be released in Q4 of 2023, but such information is tentative unless officially announced.
  • The title of this compilation will likely be Skylanders AnthologySkylanders Portal Pack, or Skylanders Eons
  • In addition, for the first time in the series’ history, no figures will be required to play the game.

Before we venture into the leak, note that since the leaker’s account is throwaway, we cannot verify its credibility. Our team at TopTierList found it best to convey the leaks to the community as they look convincing, and the leaker stated how others might also get this survey.

The leaker stated that after being selected to purchase Crash 4, he received the survey. There were several questions in the beginning, to check what his preferences were, and since he selected platformer/action games, they likely added the last two slides to get answers on the potential entry.

It seems logical and something that perhaps others can re-enact, and if true, Activision might really be showing interest in the franchise. Even then, the image shows that this title will require no figures, completely abandoning the toy-to-life concept that this series is built on.

Additionally, the compilation title will include Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, Skylanders: Giants, and Skylanders: Swap Force remastered. According to the leaker’s replies in the post, we will have a character select.

6th Slide from Activision’s Survey.

On the right side of the first image, we can see there are some titles, one of which might make it to the final version, but the names are still subject to change. The leaker also mentioned that several platforms were listed in the survey, which included Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 & 5.

This does not confirm whether the game is in development but only shows that Activision is interested in the franchise, and there is some possibility of them making this. If more people get this survey, it will confirm their interest, but so far, there haven’t been any reports from others, and if that continues, this leak is likely a hoax.

It should be confirmed sooner or later since the release date mentioned in the survey is Q4 of 2023, leaving behind a little window for an announcement. If there is no indication within the first few quarters this year, we can assume there is nothing behind the scenes.

Still, do you think Activision should look into making a compilation title for Skylanders? If so, should it continue with the toy-to-life concept or abandon the figures completely? Let us know your thoughts with us below, and we will get back to you!
