Gears of War has a cult following, and it shaped Xbox 360 during its early years. The games had a fun yet dark setting, and many gamers thought it was a groundbreaking series until the third entry in the franchise. A game that had gone away from being another Halo game. The franchise’s focus on a tactical cover and fast-paced gameplay gave SciFi shooters a breath of new life.
There have been rumors of the game since January 2022. It came from the host of the XboxEra Podcast, Nick Baker. Who is very credible, and his words are as good as being true. He revealed this in the 109th episode of his podcast.

It was pretty refreshing then to hear about this, but since then, we have received no latest news on the potential remastered collection of Gear of War. In his podcast, he claimed that the collection would be released at the end of the year, but no official news from Xbox had surfaced. This wasn’t very pleasant, but now the co-host of the Xbox Era Podcast, Nick Baker, has stated that the game will come.
In the latest tweet, Nick claims his claims were correct and won’t back down from his statement. He is saying that it is happening, and honestly, as a long-time fan of the franchise, this is the best news of the day.

Nick further claims that even though he is not a big Gears fan anymore, this news is awesome, but he is not allowed to give the public more details about the project.
I’m currently not allowed to give much more detail than “it’s happening” at the moment (I’m working on loosening the grip) but even as someone who isn’t a big Gears fan anymore, what this is should be really awesome. Add even better adjectives for Gears fans.

The Dead Space remake recently released a trailer; it was one of the most popular Sci-Fi games when Gears was a big thing. One of the fans under Nick’s tweet demanded that the Gears games should also be fully remodeled and additions and improvements should happen, and we agree with him. Lousy remakes can be very hard to digest for fans.
If they did this I'd prefer them to do it how dead space have done it, fully remodelled from the ground up with support from fans. New additions that improve the game, bigger environments where needed.

It is still noo clear which games will be part of this collection. The Gears of War 5 was a big disappointment, and thus it will be very interesting to see what Xbox does to sell this potential collection. We suggest you wait for the official confirmation, even though Nick is very credible with the Xbox’s news but still take it with a grain of salt.
