The manga follows the story of Saku and the black stray cat she adopted. The giant feline furry friend shockingly possesses numerous housekeeping skills, amazing culinary mastery, and a knack for finding a good market sale. Saku might not have her life together, but at least she has Yukichi to help her.
As of today, the manga has 5 volumes published, and fans have been expecting an anime due to the popularity it has gained in the slice of life genre. A while ago, a tweet by @MangaMoguraRE mentioned a Weibo user leaking the anime adaptation of this manga, however, nothing has come out to confirm that yet until now.
Twitter user Komi, who is known for his credible news posted a tweet that confirmed the rumor. Komi has very credible sources, and the majority of his leaks have been confirmed to be true. In December 2021, he tweeted about “Ayakasha Triangle” getting an anime adaptation produced by Aniplex, and just over a week later, the official news came, and that’s just one of the many times.
“The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today” manga was 11th in the “Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2020” by Honya Club. It will also be one of the new “slice of life/supernatural” anime in a while, as the last one we saw was Saiki K back in 2016. The official news will likely be posted anytime soon on this website, along with the Twitter account.
The manga has a very unique aesthetic art, which will be interesting to see being integrated into the anime. If there is anything else you would like to know, please let us know!
