Fall Guys has become one of the most popular games over time and now holds a special place in fans’ hearts. One of the main reasons is the constant creation of new and varied content. Unlike other battle royale games, it has 60 active players controlling their unique characters.
Besides an enormous and devoted fanbase, Fall Guys has kept itself connected by rarely taking any break between new pieces of content. Fall Guys may have failed to sustain its massive player base, but it is still bigger than we anticipated, and as such, the game is actively going to push out events and costumes to keep the new players engaged.
Luckily, we managed to get hold of some sneak peek at an upcoming event, and it looks like Fall Guys will be crossing over with Sonic the Hedgehog.
Data miner FGPancake discovered this pretty exciting-looking Sonic the Hedgehog map for Fall Guys called Bean Hill Zone (the video is linked below). It has the distinct look of Sonic’s leafy greens, blocky brown dirt, and even the signature golden rings. There also appear to be some buttons that can be used to launch the player upward.
The crossover is expected to launch in August, but it’s unclear at the moment, and all we can do is wait for the official announcement. Still, it looks like we’ll be getting at least one new level, but it wouldn’t be surprising if there’s more than that on the way.
The game is entertaining and compelling; it became trendy last year as many streamers started playing it. However, the game recently reached 20 million players in their first 48 hours of going free to play.
It turned out to be such a big deal that the developer, Mediatonic themselves, expressed on Twitter that the game was facing server connection issues due to so many players playing following the free-to-play changeover.
That’s it from us for today. Do let us know your thoughts in the comment section below, on the new Fall Guys and Sonic the Hedgehog crossover.
