Major Additions in Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 Might Delay It’s Release

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 is an upcoming video game being developed by CyberConnect2, and Bandai Namco will publish it. Much of the game’s development is shrouded in mystery, and as fans have been waiting for years after UNS 5 was released in 2016, people are getting impatient.

If you are one of those, then oh boy, this may not exactly be good news for you, but there is a silver lining. Let’s be optimistic about this and jump straight into the details.

The news was given by Senju in Japan, who is a notable gaming content leaker in the anime community, especially Naruto and Boruto. His leaks cover the majority of the CyberConnect2 games, and he is also the one who leaked that Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 is in development.

Expect Something Big in UNS 5

According to Senju in Japan, something fascinating will be added to Ultimate Ninja Storm 5. While that may be a piece of great news, it can cause the game’s release to be delayed even further. We had no information on its release date, but this might disappoint some fans even further.

However, Senju is very excited about this, so we can assume it might be worth the wait. If so, then Shonen video game fans are in for a treat. The previous games have been remarkable enough, which can be the cherry on top.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series itself has been alive for over 15 years, and they have sold way over 15 million copies. The success is in the numbers, and now that Boruto has brought more mainstream attention to the series, we might see more fans coming toward this game for that experience.

What we Know so far

The game’s release has now become even more mysterious. As for the plot of the game, we are not sure, but according to some of the comments made by Senju here and there, it might focus on more things from Boruto.

The series follows the canon story and features many things from the anime. Sometimes it deviates, but not to the point where we can call it a different ‘timeline’. What’s weirder is that Bandai Namco themselves commented that there wouldn’t be the 5th game. Since the claim was made a while ago, we can assume they have changed their minds.

The reason for that is simple, Boruto is attracting a younger audience, and with the new game, they can target not only the older fans but also some newbies. This is speculation, but the most plausible one we have.

Moreover, when a company says it won’t make a specific move, it doesn’t mean it will hold onto that statement for years. Take a look at Spider-Man Remastered, for example; they claimed the game will always be a PS exclusive, so much for that promise.

Still, this is terrific news for many, and if you think of it optimistically, we never really had a release date to go on, so this delay might not even be a major one. Stay tuned for more information, and in the meantime, let us know what you think this ‘exciting addition’ will be, and we will get back to you in the comments below!
