Activision Might Be Working On Advanced Warfare’s Sequel

For the past few weeks, rumors have been flying around for a sequel to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Though there has been no official announcement yet for the game to arrive, it is doubtful that Activision will take a year gap again in their routine of releasing a game per year.

Many sources on Twitter also indicate that a sequel might as well be in development. Initially, Activision was to release multiple sequels to Call of Duty: Vanguard, but after it failed to deliver, they scrapped the idea of sequels. For now, there are no plans to launch a new sequel or a new project in 2023.

Although, it has not yet been clear whether it is a sequel to the very successful Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. It may be another AAA project. Though going by the game’s success, it would be fair to say a sequel would be the very best option to rise back from the letdown that was Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Senior Development Director UI Job Opening

Just today, Activision announced a job opening for the Senior Development Director UI position. In their job description, they have written how their passion is making AAA games, and it might very well be hinting towards a new project, and in fact, that project might be Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2.

In the position’s responsibilities again, they have mentioned that they will need someone to work on an AAA title which not only hints but very well confirms that it is a high-priority game. Though it has not been mentioned that it would be Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2, going by their previous project’s success and sudden job opening timing, it would be fair to assume that a sequel is, in fact, inevitable.
