Gameplay Footage of Sonic Frontiers’ Green Hill Zone Leaked

Sonic Frontiers is one of the upcoming video games and probably one of the most-awaited games. As expected, the game is being developed by the Sonic Team and published by Sega. As far as the leaked information goes, Sonic the Hedgehog will be the only playable character in the game.

The players can explore the mysterious lands of Sonic’s world and re-explore some of the beloved classic levels from a different perspective. You must collect the Chaos Emeralds after Sonic, Rose, and Tails fall through a wormhole. This game is expected to have a beauty of its own.

The game is their first take on the open world while taking the traditional Sonic elements, giving it an even more unique vibe than other games. Players must solve puzzles and collect different items while fighting off the mechanical enemies.

Green Hill Zone

One of the common things among all Sega players is their love for Green Hill Zone. It is the first level in Sonic the Hedgehog and was released for Sega Genesis in 1991. As it is the first level, the difficulty is very easy, and it is perfect for everyone to learn the mechanics but also not get bored.

So, how will Sonic Frontiers adopt that simplicity in their new game and make it a new enhanced experience for the gamers; let’s check it out!

Reddit user LongJonSilver posted this video on a subreddit. It shows a person playing the game on a big screen at a convention. We can also see more players on the sides playing different levels. Although the game is showcased here, it doesn’t mean it will be exactly as shown in the video; some things might change by the time it is released.

First off, the mechanics look great and straightforward. Although the control of Sonic looks difficult during some jump animations, we can’t know for sure unless we play it for ourselves. Surprisingly, it seems like the level holds the same difficulty here and is everything we expected.

It’s good in a way, as we won’t be too disappointed with the game. It will also be interesting to see other parts of the level, like the other acts. In total, there are 3 acts; in the final one, we fight Doctor Eggman. Upon defeating him, we get to Marble Zone.

For a brief history, this level was originally constructed by Hirokazu Yasuhara, and Masato Nakamura made the musical theme. Their work in the initial stages of Sega Genesis made them pretty famous in the gaming community.

As mentioned before, it seems like Sonic will be the only playable character in the game. We may get Big the Cat in one of the fishing mini-games, but nothing is confirmed. Now that we know what this classic gem will look like in the upcoming Sonic Frontiers, what are your thoughts on the game? Let us know down below, and we will get back to you!
