“Space For Sale” Trademark Filed By THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic is an Austrian video game publisher. Since its formation in 2011, they have made numerous titles pre and post their merger, some of which have found vast success. These titles include Destroy All Humans, The Guild, Delta Force, and so much more.

The company has played an enormous part in bringing some innovative games to the community. Putting things into perspective, THQ Nordic had 48 games in development almost a year ago. As a result, they are always bringing out more and more for us to enjoy.

While we can’t get information on all their currently under-development games, we have some idea of what one of them might be. A trademark recently filed by THQ Nordic gives a name and a potential logo for this upcoming game.

This seems to be the logo of the new game. There might be more tweaks and changes to this, but the main design should be this. It looks like a game focusing on “space” and potentially an alien aspect, like Destroy All Humans. It is also possible that we might have some “space exploration,” but that’s all for speculations.

The details on the trademark can be seen above. It is a generic trademark and belongs to a new IP that will be revealed sooner or later. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be that big because the time it takes for a game to be announced after filing a trademark is not certain.

However, the situation is different; THQ Nordic has a showcase scheduled for the 12th of August. It has been a few months since we marked our calendars for that day, and it’s right around the corner. THQ Nordic will showcase and announce most of their upcoming games, and “Space for Sale” will likely be one of them.

The timing seems aligned, and there is no reason for them to delay it. They know the game will get the most attention during that showcase, as most gamers will have their eyes locked on them. If for some reason, it doesn’t get announced, we can assume that the game is still in very early stages.

THQ Nordic has been making games for over a decade. They are one of the biggest video game publishers, and their games hold up to that standard. Their trailer for the upcoming showcase has snippets of many games, each of which has a beauty of its own.
