Bayonetta – One of the best games to provide you with not only some story-filled action games but also feed you with fan service. The series was created by Hideki Kamiya and developed by PlatinumGames. The first main game was released in 2009, with the sequel, Bayonetta coming in 2014.
It has been quite some time, and we will get Bayonetta 3 on the 28th of October. However, many fans have already been spoiled due to the abundance of leaks on the internet. One has stood out more than anything else.
Aside from the whole situation with Hellena Taylor and Jennifer Hale, the community has been pretty active for the game’s imminent release. After its reveal during the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, fans have been eagerly waiting, especially since it will be the 3rd main game in the series after so long.
About Bayonetta 3
If you are unfamiliar with the game, it follows the angel-hunting witch Bayonetta, who must fight the artificial bioweapons Homunculi, along with an entity called Singularity. The entity is set on destroying the multiverse, so she, her companions, and her alternate versions must unite to defeat him.
Like previous games, Bayonetta 3 is a Hack and Slash game, where we control Bayonetta as she beats different enemies with various attacks. She dodges enemies at the last second with the state known as Witch Time, during which the enemies are slowed down, allowing Bayonetta to destroy them unhinged.
If you don’t follow the news, the gameplay was recently leaked, but now we have a better look at the ending itself. Our sharp eyes at TopTierList quickly noticed fans’ disappointment with the ending. But before we jump into it, we should warn you that this article will cover the spoilers from Bayonetta 3 ending, so read at your own will.
Major Points
- The ending of Bayonetta 3 has revealed the fate of some characters, along with some previously unconfirmed data.
- We did not know Bayonetta’s sexuality, but now, after Viola’s arrival and the game’s ending, we know she is the daughter of Bayonetta and Luka.
- Fans are mad that Bayonetta is straight, despite many scenes depicting her as a lesbian. Even though it was not confirmed, that was the general idea within the community.
Bayonetta 3 Leaked Ending
Just days before the release of Bayonetta 3, leaks have already sprung up. Now, we have the ending of the game, and after confirming it with their own eyes, fans are disappointed with it. Although there were rumours and foreshadowing of Viola being Bayonetta and Luka’s daughter way earlier, fans still thought it was untrue as she is a Lesbian.
I’m convinced none of these people actually played Bayonetta because if they had they’d know her feelings about men in general as well as having children pic.twitter.com/jBO6waz1cI

Funny how the discourse around Bayonetta has gone full 180 from "Only straight males like her" to "how can straight males like her" pic.twitter.com/4wAeKCPkzD

However, her sexuality was never confirmed. Only her design and interactions made her seem that way, but now, she is revealed to be straight. It is still possible that she is actually Bisexual, and the whole scenario is fans overreacting to their favourite video game lead.
In addition to that, there is also some discourse on the death of Bayonetta, Luka, and Jeanne. Some fans are also mad at Viola being considered the new Bayonetta. But it should be noted that the game has many fake deaths, and the possibility of them returning or something else happening due to the multiverse is also very likely.
Ending Remarks
The whole situation has become a Twitter argument. Many fans are participating in it just for fun or getting bullied for having different opinions. It is important to note that they can still make changes if there were a 4th game coming out. They have ways to make things different due to the nature of the game.
If they were to make such changes in the future, the community would still be unsatisfied with many aspects. It is a big franchise with many dedicated fans, so keeping up with everyone’s expectations is challenging. It is also funny that one central plot point was based on an assumption, and now many people have started hating the franchise.
