Genshin Impact’s Sumeru Update Leaked Online

Genshin Impact is one of the most popular gacha games. Since the next region, Sumeru is right around the corner, the hype is at its peak. But what are the many things that we will see in this patch? We have discussed the charactersartifacts, and harbingers, but let’s talk about everything else we will see there.

These will include the maps, biomes, weapon details, character ascension, and other major quality of life changes.

First, let’s talk about the map, specifically the biomes; it will be massive, with some exciting scenery that can be seen in the video. However, we feel that some things are missing, which will be added eventually, making the biomes look complete.

One of the significant new additions will be the desert biome. In the video, this biome looks very plain and has nothing interesting. But imagine the puzzles, chests, specialties, and other entities filling that space. It makes you want a ridable pet because of how straight it looks.

We can also see the tall plants that will be part of the environment in some parts of Sumeru. These will be great to hide chests, especially considering how miHoYo loves to hide them in cheeky spots. So we better keep an eye out just in case.

We can also look at the central city area and the big tree in Sumeru. One interesting thing to note here is the clothing of the NPCs, and the inside look at the buildings perfectly suits Sumeru.

The central city will have the usual spots for forgery, alchemy, and the adventurer’s guild. The idea is somewhat similar to Mondstadt; we have some shops and NPCs on one side, and as we go up the stairs, we see the knight cabin and eventually the church.

Similarly, we have shops in the city, and as you move up the path, you see training grounds and the temple.

It is a bit hard to see, but there are a total of 5 statues of the seven here and many teleports. Hopefully, the commissions here will not take too long this way. On the left side, we can also see the somewhat desert-ish place.

The desert biome may reside there, and more of Sumeru will likely be opened with future patches. That will be very similar to every other region we have had. There are also domains, some will be for the upcoming artifacts, while others for weapon and talent material.

Tree of Vanarana

The tree in Sumeru, similar to the ones we have in Dragonspine and Inazuma, will give rewards for dendro sigils. The rewards will be distributed along 50 levels and might be time-gated like Sacred Sakure. Nevertheless, the list of rewards will be:

  • Acquaint Fate × 20
  • Fragile Resin × 5
  • Intertwined Fate × 10
  • Crown × 5
  • One of each Midlander weapon billets –
  • Mystic Enhancement Ore × 500
  • Sumeru shrine keys × 4
  • Mora × 2.5M

4 Star Bow – King’s Squire

King's Squire
Ascension Materials For King’s Squire.

ATK: 454

ATK%: 55.10%

Obtain the Teachings of the Forest effect when unleashing Elemental Skills and Bursts, increasing Elemental Mastery by 60/80/100/120/140 for 12s. This effect will be removed when switching characters.

When the Teachings of the Forest effect ends or is removed, it will deal 100%/120%/140%/160%/180% of ATK as DMG to 1 nearby opponent. The Teachings of the Forest effect can be triggered once every 20s.

The weapon has low base ATK, but that is compensated with the big 55%+ ATK. The passives are great for EM scaling characters, potentially the F2P weapon for Tighnari.

4 Star Sword – Timber Blade

Timber Blade
Ascension Materials Timber Blade.

ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.7%

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60/75/90/105/120 Elemental Mastery for 12s.

Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field.

The weapon gives high base ATK and some decent Energy Recharge. It will be great for the dendro characters. It is also great if your main DPS character has 100% uptime of doing dendro reaction with support.

This might be the future best in the slot for Al-Haitham, who will likely be a 5 Star sword user.

4 Star Claymore – Forest Regalia

Forest Regalia
Ascension Materials For Forest Regalia.

Stats are the same as Timber Blade.

We need to wait for a character who can make good use of this weapon, as there is almost no one who can benefit much from it.

4 Star Polearm – Moonpiercer

Moonpiercer
Ascension Materials For Moonpiercer.

ATK: 565

Elemental Mastery: 110

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Revival will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 16%/20%/24% /28% /32% ATK for 12s.

Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field.

As always, each patch indirectly buffs one specific character, and this patch will also give her something. We are talking about the best 4 Star character, Xiangling.

She can use this extensively in a dendro team, but we aren’t sure how it will compete with The Catch.

4 Star Catalyst – Fruit of Fulfilment

Fruit Fulfillment
Ascension Materials For Fruit Fulfillment.

ATK: 510

ATK%: 41.3%

Obtain the “Wax and Wane” effect after an Elemental Reaction is triggered, gaining 22/25/28/31/34 Elemental Mastery while losing 5% ATK. For every 0.3s, 1 stack of Wax and Wane will be gained. Max 5 stacks. For every 6s that go by without an Elemental Reaction being triggered, 1 stack will be lost.

This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.

The catalyst is especially weird as it gives you a lot of ATK but then loses that for EM, making it very technical for a character.

These weapons seem very interesting, as they require you to do some reaction with dendro. You either want to use it on dendro characters only or make sure you have dendro support that keeps providing AOE dendro for reactions.

The values can change before they make it to the final version. They need to be tested before we conclude who they are suitable for. Before you start hoarding billets, you need to know of another material that will be required to get the billets for crafting these weapons.

That’s right, the billets are different and called “Midlander”. The recipe will include Dream Solvents, which are about to become even more precious for us players.

Note – The text of older weapons and artifacts will also change to include the new reactions coming with dendro. An example of the test is the Crimson Witch artifact, Dark Iron sword, etc.

Character Ascension Materials

The ascension materials for some of the previously leaked characters are:

Tighnari
Ascension Materials For Tighnari
Dori
Ascension Materials For Dori
Collei
Ascension Materials For Collei

We will need to farm the upcoming books, specialties, and some familiar enemies we have seen in previous regions. Two new upcoming bosses will drop the main boss materials, which will be very exciting!

3.0 Spiral Abyss buffs

Other changes include the new abyss, which will provide buffs for the new dendro element. We will also see the new enemies and bosses appearing in the abyss. As most of us have already finished the abyss with 36 stars, hopefully, this will add more of a challenge.

These buffs are subjected to change, but we have confirmed this so far:

  • Phase 1: Catalyze shred DEF by 35% for 10s.
  • Phase 2: Dendro core explosion, Burgeon, and Hyperbloom increase the triggering character’s ATK by 15% for 8s, up to 4 stacks
  • Floor 11: All characters in the party gain a 75% Dendro DMG Bonus.

Some quality of life changes includes the new party setup, where you can have ten different party compositions saved. Currently, that number is only limited to 4.

That’s all from us; there is a lot to process here, so if you have any questions please let us know, and we will get back to you!
